Magic rally, spoil Butler's 76ers debut

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) Everything about Jimmy Butler's first game with the 76ers was going great, until the fourth quarter.

Butler had 14 points in his Philadelphia debut, but the 76ers collapsed late and lost to Orlando 111-106 after Terrence Ross hit a tiebreaking 3-pointer with 8.7 seconds left that helped the Magic finish off a big comeback Wednesday night.

Pistons' Casey wins in return to Toronto

TORONTO (AP) Dwane Casey's return to Toronto delivered drama right up until the final second.

Reggie Bullock made the winning shot as time expired and the Detroit Pistons rallied from a 19-point deficit to beat the Raptors 106-104 on Wednesday night, giving Casey an emotional victory over his former team.

Curry to be re-evaluated in 10 days

OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) Stephen Curry won't play during Golden State's three-game Texas road trip as he recovers from a left groin strain, though he is traveling with the Warriors.

The team traveled Wednesday to Houston, where the two-time defending NBA champions will play Thursday night. They have games Saturday at Dallas and Sunday at San Antonio.

Mavs hand Jazz worst loss since 1979

DALLAS (AP) Dallas and Utah made history. The Jazz weren't pleased with their share.

Harrison Barnes scored 19 points in 26 minutes and the Mavericks handed the Jazz their worst loss since moving to Utah, 118-68 on Wednesday night.

Grizzlies send Bucks to first home loss

MILWAUKEE (AP) In a game of runs between teams with contrasting styles, Memphis made the last, defining push.

Marc Gasol scored 29 points, Mike Conley added 26 and the grind-it-out Grizzlies held off the up-tempo Bucks 116-113 on Wednesday night, handing Milwaukee its first home loss of the season.

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) Paul George is feeling well - and found his shooting touch.

The All-Star forward scored a season-high 35 points to help the Oklahoma City Thunder rout the New York Knicks 128-103 on Wednesday night.

Wolves top Pelicans, 2-0 without Butler

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) Karl-Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins are the main men in Minnesota again, and on Wednesday night they gave the Timberwolves exactly what they needed for a big win.

Towns had 25 points and 16 rebounds, Wiggins scored 23 and Minnesota improved to 2-0 since trading Jimmy Butler with a 107-100 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans.

Suns defeat Spurs to end 4-game skid

PHOENIX (AP) Nights when star Devin Booker is off his game don't often spell victories for the struggling Phoenix Suns. But Booker was still a factor Wednesday night, and his teammates picked him up.

T.J. Warren scored 16 of his 27 points in the first half and the Suns built a big lead, almost lost it and then pulled away for a 116-96 victory over the San Antonio Spurs.

Celtics return home from trip, rip Bulls

BOSTON (AP) The Celtics returned from a dreadful road trip with a resounding rout.

Kyrie Irving had 17 points and seven assists and Jaylen Brown scored 18 as Boston beat the Chicago Bulls 111-82 on Wednesday night.
